Digs: Emma Cassi's favorite room in the house

We just about fell over when our friend, jewelry + embroidery designer Emma Cassi sent us these beautiful photographs taken from inside her favorite room in the family's new home. The house, in the village of Old Windsor, was a former dance school and all the mirrors were left behind. Settled in the forest and near the Thames River, Emma and her daughter Hope have created their own dreamy space to twirl in. SWOON!!!

Digs: Rachel Fowler and Joaquin in her shop, Racks Vintage

Hop on over to #Boburbswest and meet Rachel Fowler of Racks Vintage in the midtown neighborhood of Poverty Ridge in Sacramento. Rachel curates and owns both Racks and Old Gold in the WAL Public Market (with partner and our pal Trisha), and this Mama is bringing some bad-ass vintage glamour to Painted Sidewalks. With an infectious laugh and the cutest little dude, we couldn't resist her gypsy charm and the little red shack filled with denim, leather and lace. Celisse Muller shows us 'round....

We LOVE Quiet Town!

We're nuts about the newly launched bathroom collection Quiet Town. References of Americana quilting and mountain-scape lines collide with a high-dose of pop color and lush, hand-dyed organic fibers.  Fresh graphics, thoughtful craftsmanship, and chic brass hardware bring major style to the place we families spend a LOT of time in. We're thrilled to sit down and chat with one-half of Quiet Town, tastemaker + daydreamer Lisa Fine. Click for more as she shares a bit behind the brand , including her own #sleepstories and how she channeled her exhaustion into some serious creative productivity.

Digs: Kat's Closet

We're exploring the notion of identity beyond just Motherhood over here at PS.  Most of us cling to old photographs of our own Mothers, romanticizing her cool youth and perfectly-now style, and what made her.. HER. We wonder what our sons and daughters will remember in us- (hopefully not the chaos), and more of a little something like the beauty and innate elegance in our dear friend, Kat  (if we're lucky!) These kiddos landed a good one. She demonstrates a kind of grace in everyday dressing that we all aspire. She has one of the most articulated sense of personal style we've seen, with a virtuosity in Vintage like no other. What better place to kick it off other than Kat's Closet?! Click through East-Coast Photo Contributor Christy Kurtz Harmon's gorgeous pics for some wardrobe-envy.

Dollhouse Remodel: Tiny Ceramics by Ria Leigh

Our talented friend and former MA CRUSH Ria put her artistry to action this week with a teeny ceramic vignette. Handmade just for us, the serving set, hanging plant holder, and vases couldn't be cuter. Our DOLLHOUSE REMODEL project lets us daydream in miniature (which makes it a wee easier to accomplish than real-scale). The weather is warming and has us thinking about outdoor summer soirees. We're feeling hints of the Mediterranean, with blushes of abstract modernism against a white-washed background on our backyard patio, sipping cocktails under the stars....
