Digs: Olga and her girls

We're spending some time on the subject of sisterhood here at PS. This week, we jumped over to the adorable Sacramento craftsman that belongs to Olga and her family and spent a little time with her two girls. Click for the sweet tour as we poke around her home and ask about shared spaces and keeping harmony. Welcome to the #Boburbswest, as photographed by guest-photgrapher, Megan Rolleri.

Ma Crush Monday: Nikiya Schwarz of Gold Dust Collective

We're thrilled to shine some light on this week's crush, Nikiya Schwarz of the radiant Gold Dust Collective , a collaborative project that spoke to the songs inside of us. Profiling the local people of Nevada City, Nikiya and her friend Kat illuminate the unique cultural and artistic heritage in the community they grew up in. Beth learned of their stunning work when returning to the Gold Rush town of Sacramento (neighboring the Yuba River Watershed) and connected with their curiosity of local land and people, particularly in their intimate photo-documentations and interviews,  "FOLKTALES."  Nikiya- a designer, stylist, and editor (who also often collaborates with local shop Kitkitdizzi)   is a mother of two young ones herself and was kind enough to connect with us and answer #thesamethreequestions. Click for the interview as she discusses homesteading, transitions, and guilty pleasures.

Digs: Ashley Gleason of Vestige

When a mentor-of -sorts and a dear friend tipped us off to her pal Ashley Gleason's stunning home, we couldn't wait to reach out ourselves to learn more. The lifestyle concept-shop proprietor and mother of two has transformed her 1860's Italianate townhouse into a modern masterpiece in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. Click for the tour, as Dominic Episcopo photographs the wildly inspiring, down-to-earth decadence.

Ma Crush Monday: Amy Morall of Missing Fillmore

If you've ever spent any time on Amy Morall's beautiful family blog, Missing Filmore, you've likely left with a list of new goals of family adventure (probably including far-flung beaches, meadow hikes and surprise swimming holes ).  This quietly inspiring and whimsical celebration of family in pictures had us wanting more, so we couldn't help but ask the mother of three in Devon, England #thesamethreequestions.

We LOVE Mar Cerdà's Paper + Watercolor Miniatures

In cahoots with our ongoing project #thedollhouseremodel, the schoolgirls inside us are giddy about these paper and watercolor dioramas by Mar Cerdà. Naturally, we're obsessed with anything miniature... tiny and orderly precisions are weirdly satisfying and make our heart skip a beat. A handful of our friends and followers sent us The Jealous Curator 's piece about Mar's brilliant work - we had to piggyback on this story and reach out ourselves! Click for the teeny interview.

Ma Crush Monday: Eliza Gran: Pom-pom Icon

If you're anything like us (and most of our friends), we can't get enough of Eliza Gran baskets. The cheerful bohemian accents are the perfect solve for all our elegant messes- stylishly hiding cluttered magazines, kids toys, potted plants, and other flotsam jetsam. There is brilliance in a multifunctional design. We were thrilled the Venice, California designer herself (and mother of 3!) took a minute to answer #thesamethreequestions.

We LOVE Pretty Tidy Vintage

We're going to let you in on a huge secret treasure of ours.... Pretty Tidy Vintage on Etsy. This shop stocks the most adorable French deadstock (from the 40s-70s) and is always merchandised to a color-order of perfection. We spend an obscene amount of time here, "window-shopping" and imagining each new find like paper dolls on our own little ones -filling our carts with hopefuls. For the sake of transparency, we feel it is our duty here at PS to share the love and spread the gospel of this heavenly shop. Just make sure to save some for Penelope, Lake, and Edie!

Digs: Our own Beth and Edie

This woman is everything. It's of the highest delights to be able to step inside her California Victorian flat and feel the poetic and cozy space she has created for herself and Edie. Through thick and thin, Beth illuminates. She is a beacon of curiosity and gratitude (she has been since we met at age 10). Her home resonates this thoughtful, loving luminosity of hers- we'd do just about anything to be there with them right now in the #boburbswest! Click for the tour as shot by Marrisa Rocke.....come on in to the world of Nouveau Nonchalance!

We LOVE Industry & Alchemy

As you know, we're tickled by this idea of the ever-expanding circle of motherhood and friendship here at PS, and sometimes we can't even quite pinpoint how and where we meet some of our new friends (especially with the explore feature rabbit hole and webbed algorithms of Instagram), but find a thrill and gratitude in knowing our subjects and readers are all connected! The serendipities are certainly the thread here and the pulse of our organic unfolding. On that note, we stumbled upon San Francisco mama Audrey Bodisco's feed and fell in love with her California ease. We felt like one of us knew her?! We ogled over her adorable baby boy, River and the snapshots of her home's relaxed and rustic minimalism. After finding our way to her online shop, Industry & Alchemy, we couldn't help but notice the series of watercolors she created. The modern, tranquil works are gorgeous...we had to ask more.

We LOVE Hello Fresh

Let's face it: neither of us here at PS are culinarily-inclined. We love a pretty picture, but certainly lack skills in the kitchen (another way we openly embrace imperfection!) So we were both thrilled to embark on a week of healthy food boxes from Hello Fresh. The delightful recipes include pre-measured, seasonal ingredients from trusted suppliers and we had a ball including the whole family in on it. And guess what....our readers can get 30% off their first box with code BOBURBS30. Bon Appetite!

Digs: Adrienne and Gabriel

We met Adrienne at our own Beth's shibori workshop - she was wearing a vintage kimono we couldn't ignore.  She's a woman's woman- a mamma hen to her college-aged son with a strong sense of self. We loved hearing the muse-y maven talk with us about Motherhood and her uncompromised sense of style.  Check out her groovy, historic bungalow in the tree-lined neighborhood of Curtis Park in Sacramento, as shot by Celisse Muller. Imagine Leonard Cohen playing in the background on vinyl.... click for the tour.
